Description

I am Evelia Lorena Coss Navarrete, a postdoctoral researcher at the International Laboratory for Human Genome Research (LIIGH), UNAM. I specialize in bioinformatics, transcriptomic analysis, and reproducible scientific documentation. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology Engineering, and both my MSc. and Ph.D. in Plant Biotechnology from CINVESTAV. My doctoral research focused on the identification and characterization of long non-coding RNAs in Brassicaceae. Beyond research, I actively contribute to scientific communities as a member of R-Ladies Morelia, CDSB Mexico, RiaBio, and ISCB RSG-Mexico. I am also the lead organizer of VieRnes de Bioinformática at LIIGH, a collaborative initiative that fosters dialogue, training, and community-building in bioinformatics.
